As my grandmother held tightly to my grandfather's ziploc bag, I thought about my favorite hashtag (are hashtags even cool anymore? Honestly, I don't care): #LittleThingsAreBigThings.

We get so caught up in sweeping romantic gestures that we forget the magic is always in the small moments. Like when John brought home gushers tonight and my face lit up. Or a few weeks ago when a friend of mine, out of nowhere, sent me a nice message telling me how much I mattered to them. And for that moment in Kentucky in July, when my Grandmother got to fall in love all over again reading a poem my grandfather had put in the time capsule in 1999. She didn't know then that she'd be reading it alone.
