Modern Rebel Dispatch Vol. 3 No. 9: Embracing Imperfection Shouldn't Be Scary 👻

Just last week, I was on-site for an event and the photos for the gallery wall we had planned would not stick to the wall. They had been tested! We had all the materials! And yet, CRACK - frames were falling and breaking. We had to pivot, and fast, thanks to a short load-in window. We switched to several window sills for set-up, with placards on the walls where the photos would have been directing guests around the room. I saw guest after guest discover the clusters of photo memories, enjoying walking along the room reading the details of their love story. It wasn’t what we’d planned, but it still captured the heart of it all.

At home, Arlo’s handmade ghost on the door had two totally mismatched eyes. It may not have been what he was going for, but it was my favorite detail on the decoration.

Embrace the imperfections, Rebels. Let them be the stories that make up the fabric of this beautifully messy life.
