Mark likes to say he heard Tessa before he met her - they shared a co-working space and she was the bright, bubbly one in the room. After a couple of months riding the train together to and from work and catching glances in the office, she asked him out. They are both wildly creative, entrepreneurial and community-minded individuals whose partnership is all kinds of power couple without the pretentious factor. Tessa and Mark are absolutely unfussy, un-fancy and just plain fun. Their bright and bold personalities match the Long Beach skies of California, which was the perfect backdrop to their vows. We filled the event with lots of color, bold fresh fruit, a fun crossword puzzle and toasts galore. We didn’t have a flower girl, we had a crew - complete with a pull wagon! It sounds simple but it can really only be described as: fun - just like these two.
I still can't believe what Amy and Chelsea pulled off for us... Amy really listened to what we were hoping for in a ceremony and reception and continuously shared ideas and inspiration to help us deliver on that. Doing community vows was one of our favorite parts of the ceremony, and that idea was all Amy. We are so, so grateful to the team (and now friends) at Modern Rebel, who so helped us fully execute our unique, community centric vision.
