They met as students at the University of Chicago. She’s a sculpturist from the midwest. He’s a consultant from Singapore. They bonded over pescatarian delicacies, cocktails and indie music. They fell in love and like every great love story, it truly began when they… adopted a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach. Yes, you read that right. Their weirdness finds its home in each other’s hearts and their love story leaned right into that. From one-of-a-kind tabletop sculptures [made by Nicki] to celestial inspired lighting, funky plants in lieu of traditional florals, and wacky neon signs - this was a party David Bowie would be inspired by. Their celebration transported you all the way to Mars and their bug inspired cake was one for the books.
